Inventory Management

Listing your products for sale on multiple channels creates a number of business challenges, one of the most frequent questions we hear is “How do I deal with keeping my inventory in sync on all my listings and prevent overselling”?

Etail pulls all of your available sources of inventory (in-stock, FBA, suppliers) together and allows you to set percent allocations of your inventory at the supplier, sales channel, or individual listing level (example: “publish 50% of my total available inventory to each of my sales channels”). You can also set minimums and maximums (example: “When there are only 3 units left, take down listing A, when there are 2 left, take down listing b, leaving the last unit for sale on listing c.”)

Furthermore, when inventory is updated via a sale on one channel, and inventory adjustment or receipt, all channels are updated.

Channel-Relative Pricing (Global Pricing)

When choosing to price your products on each of your sales channels, you can set prices using data from supplier feeds the EVP, or other sales channels. A great example is to use the competitive repricing capabilities on Amazon to drive a relative price on your other channels.

Competition on Amazon, driven by repricers, keeps the pricing aggressive, which is why Amazon has been able to become a starting point for many consumers when searching for a product, as opposed to a Google search.

You can leverage this to set your eBay, Sears or website pricing by simply setting up a relative formula. For example, product price = Amazon price x 101% (1% above your Amazon price).

Order Management

Etail downloads orders from across all your channels, and then runs an analysis against the orders to determine how each line item is to be fulfilled. Hold codes are assigned for the next step in each item being fulfilled. If an item is to be drop shipped, Etail can automatically generate and transmit the PO to the supplier. If an order is to be cross docked, Etail will queue the orders until a user runs the cross dock PO wizard to generate bulk POs to the suppliers. Orders to be filled from stock immediately try and allocate inventory and move to a pick hold code if it is available or out of stock hold code for items to be ordered.

These are just a few examples of how Etail works across channels and methods to streamline fulfillment for your growing business.

Additionally, Etail automates the processing of FBA orders by automatically applying shipment data to the order and transferring it to an invoice, requiring no interaction on your part.

Every channel needs to manage their product listings in a specific way, as each channel has their own way of doing things. Etail takes the “channel eccentricities” out of the equation for our clients and boils everything down to the primary functions that need to be accomplished. This allows you to simply do what needs to be done to accomplish your task, and not have to be concerned with what each channel needs to display correctly.
